Applying Online — Subcontractor Guide

The online application replaces the paper subcontractor pack. You register, confirm your email and mobile, and complete the application from your own desk — company details, insurances, drivers, trucks and agreements. This page explains each step and what happens after you submit.

Before you start

  • Applications are open to companies (Pty Ltd) and trusts — sole traders and partnerships can't be engaged under this arrangement.
  • Have your ABN, insurance certificates, drivers' licences and truck details handy — you can save and come back at any time.

Registering and verifying

  1. Register with your email address and mobile number.
  2. Click the link in the email we send you — it's valid for 24 hours.
  3. Enter the code we text you — it's valid for 10 minutes, and you get five attempts before needing a fresh one.
  4. Set your password and continue into the application.

The application steps

  • Business — enter your ABN; it's checked against the Australian Business Register on the spot and pre-fills your legal name and GST status.
  • Contacts — your key people.
  • Compliance — insurances. The expiry, insurer and policy number are entered with the certificate upload itself, so the paperwork and the details can never disagree.
  • Bank details — where your payments go.
  • Operators — each driver, with licence class, medical (where required), dangerous goods, and photos of the front and back of each card. A card can't be added without a photo of its front.
  • Trucks — each unit as a card: rego (use "Check rego (NHVR)" to fill details from the national registry), weights in tonnes, body and equipment details, photos, and each trailer's own details — a combination carries up to three trailers ("Add another trailer" for a B-double or road train). Documents are a guided stage — a checklist opens and walks you through exactly what's needed, for the truck and every trailer. The Tier 1 site pack (service history, plant risk assessment, operator's manual) is optional — upload it if held to be considered for Tier 1 site work.
  • Agreements — read and sign online by typing your name. The Guarantee & Indemnity is the one exception: download the pre-filled PDF, sign it with a witness, and upload the completed copy.
  • Review & submit — the review shows anything still outstanding and won't submit until the list is empty.
  • Files upload the moment you pick them — "Uploaded ✓ — saved and awaiting office review" means you're done with that slot.
  • A rego or VIN already in our system stops the form so it can be checked — contact the office if you believe it's yours.

After you submit

  • Your application locks read-only while the office reviews it.
  • If something needs fixing, the exact items appear at the top of your application with the office's explanation, and the application re-opens for editing — nothing you entered is lost. Fixing an item marks it "updated — with the office".
  • On approval you receive a welcome email and your login becomes a full contractor portal account — fleet, drivers, documents, availability and payments.
